Adventurous conspiracy theories as justification for opposing pandemic protection measures, shameless lies about alleged election fraud at the highest level, fake news on all channels. Now attitude is needed in the truest sense of the word. Attitude has the original meaning of guarding, paying attention, preserving and protecting. This is precisely what it is all about: preserving and promoting values of solidarity and care, democracy, the rule of law, and a fundamental truthfulness through an upright, straightforward attitude. In a world determined by economics, this confronts us with the question of how and where, with what goal do I use my capital? This ‚Gretchen question‘ about the use of capital reveals the intentions and the mindset of economic action. To show attitude with investments on the capital market can be realized especially by the orientation on ESG criteria. Here, too, however, a close look must be taken. Not everything that is labeled „green“ is actually sustainable. Here, too, it is important to show attitude, in the sense of ‚checking the content‘. This attitude, which is characterized by values, then focuses on investments that make a future worth living and based on solidarity possible.
